The BEYOND Awards 2026 Innovation Award winners have been announced. META stood out from 800 global innovation projects to win the BEYOND Awards 2026 Innovation Award.
META’s award-winning product is MP-5342, the world’s first oral small molecule inhibitor of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH). In preclinical animal disease models, MP-5342 demonstrated a safety window exceeding 600-fold, far surpassing the industry standard safety threshold (typically >40-fold). In six standard pharmacodynamic models of IBD induced by different mechanisms, MP-5342 showed significant efficacy, along with higher safety and lower toxicity compared to current standards of care. MP-5342 precisely targets the underlying biological mechanisms of immunometabolism, aiming to restore immune balance through metabolic reprogramming and modify disease progression, achieving safer and more effective anti-inflammatory treatment with the potential to address the unmet need for LDH-targeted therapies.

This year’s BEYOND Awards spanned three months, with support from over 100 global recommenders and attracting 800 high-quality applicants across life sciences, artificial intelligence, low-carbon environmental protection, and other frontier fields. The judging panel conducted rigorous selections based on innovation, growth potential, industrial value, and social impact, with only a select few top projects making the final list.
BEYOND Expo officially noted that this year’s winners demonstrate “creativity and social responsibility in addressing common human challenges” — a true reflection of META’s original inspiration and ongoing mission.
BEYOND Expo is the largest science and technology innovation ecosystem expo in Asia, with brand influence reaching over 130 countries and regions worldwide, establishing itself as an international technology event on par with CES in the Asia-Pacific region.
